Summary:Calculation-experimental method was applied for restoration of components of residual stress tensors and deformations in the surface layer of a cylindrical sample according to experimentally measured tension components. In order to solve this problem a number of hypotheses were introduced, including that claimed that distribution of plastic strain state in a hardening layer of a cylindrical sample is equal to that in a half-plane. Well correlating calculated and experimental data are demonstrated.
