Summary:This article analyzes the career of Christian institutions in al-Andalus during the Umayyad period. To that end, I will focus on the evolution of the Episcopal network, as bishops cooperated closely with the Umayyads by playing different roles, such as tax or diplomatic roles. Therefore, special attention will be paid to changes in the dioceses in relation to the successive strategies that Umayyad power adopted in respect of them. El artículo analiza la trayectoria de las instituciones cristianas en al-Andalus en época omeya, centrándose en la evolución de la red episcopal. Los obispos cooperaron estrechamente con los Omeyas, para quienes desempeñaron funciones fiscales, diplomáticas, etc. Por ende, se prestará una especial atención a los cambios de las diócesis en relación con las sucesivas estrategias que el poder omeya adoptó respecto a ellas.
