Mediante este estudio se tratará de poner de relieve la importancia que tiene el Memorial escrito por Pedro de Baeza a la hora de entender el declive de los marqueses de Villena a finales del siglo XV, como también, sus ambiciones territoriales, y las complejas relaciones políticas que este linaje mantuvo con la Monarquía castellana durante el reinado de los Reyes Católicos
