Summary: | New towns are witnesses of their time and particular conceptions of urbanism and landscape. Facing sustainable development issues, they are favorable sites for analyzing landscape changes in progress, changes in the ways of acting and the ways actors discern and consider this evolution through projects which question the history of the new town and the representation of nature. The forms and stakes of this landscape evolution are the subject of a PhD for which this article submits the first analysis. Marne-la-Vallée, in construction since the 70’s, offers an ideal site for studies and experimentation into analyzing these landscape developments. |
