| Abstract | L’objectif de cette recherche était d’analyser les effets de l’organisation du travail et du stress professionnel de parents biactifs sur le niveau et les rythmicités de l’attention de leurs enfants en situation scolaire. Quatre cent soixante enfants âgés de cinq à dix ans, répartis selon trois niveaux d’âge ont participé à des épreuves de barrage. Chacun des parents a rempli un questionnaire codé et anonymé. Les résultats traités par Anova à mesures répétées (

0,05) suggèrent que l’organisation du travail et le stress professionnel du père et de la mère agiraient différemment sur l’attention des enfants selon leur âge. Les activités professionnelles irrégulières, peu prévisibles et décalées de la vie sociale ainsi que la charge mentale et le stress cumulé affecteraient la fonction régulatrice de la famille sur la disponibilité aux apprentissages scolaires de l’enfant.
