Summary: | Reviews the book, Behavior Control by Perry London (see record 1970-16743-000). The book is divided into three sections, the first of which is a brief historical and philosophical introduction to the general topic. The second section, comprising more than half the book, describes the major control techniques currently devised and envisaged. The description of the techniques is too brief; there are no citations to the literature, no balanced weighing of evidence on the more controversial issues. This book promises much more than it delivers; we still await a moral guide to the technology of behavior control. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved) |
