Summary: | This study aims to explore the culture, Sasi Duka as the mentoring and counseling in Tanas village in Papua. This research was conducted in one of the local communities in Papua, namely in the Tanas village. In this study, the theory that was used was the concept of mentoring and counseling which could be seen in the values, traditional rituals of local communities, which were local wisdom of the community, actually was able to be a power to help the bereaved family, because of the death of a loved one. This ritual was solidarity with the whole community in feeling the grief of their bereaved siblings, the Sasi Duka ritual was done for forty days, so that when it was finished the family has gone through a period of sadness and was able to relate normally as social beings. |
