Summary:Starting from the discoveries of social neuroscience and the principles of Polish language teaching, the author constructs the foundations of the programme for educating the pupil’s mind, outlining its main elements (self-knowledge, thinking styles, therapy) and a number of specific issues. Then, looking for opportunities for integrated education, she relates all these issues to educational documents and selected curricula for primary schools in the subjects of Polish language, biology, and ethics. The article ends with conclusions regarding the scope of cross-curricular integration, and determinants of the future curriculum.
