Summary:In this essay I focus on the problem of biomedia with its ability to enable biosurveillance and biocontrol. This next stage of the contemporary panoptical surveillance state and the society of control, is about direct mapping of the body to replace the representational logic of traditional surveillance media. It undermines human subjectivity and the integrity of his or her body by crossing such natural boundaries as the skin, senses and mind, and connecting with its molecules, neurons and organs.
