Summary:This article aims at presenting some peculiarities of the press discourse on the Covid19 pandemic, with an emphasis on the evolution of the specific terminology used in this context. It analyses written press articles which are informative texts, opinion texts, or science popularisation texts on the website of the Le Monde newspaper, which will be discussed from the point of view of the transmission of information and knowledge related to the evolution and management of the health crisis. As for the terminology studied in this paper, our analysis involves the identification and discussion of newly created terms, new usages of existing terms, or borrowings from other languages aimed at filling denominational gaps in French.
