Pionic atom factory project in the RIBF Spectroscopy of pionic atom in 122Sn (d, 3He) Nuclear Reaction

We are preparing for a high resolution spectroscopy of the 1 s and 2 s pionic states of 121 Sn in the 122 Sn( d , 3 He) reaction at the incident deuteron energy of ~500 MeV. The measurement will provide accurate information on the strong interaction between the pion and the nucleus, which leads to q...

Summary:We are preparing for a high resolution spectroscopy of the 1 s and 2 s pionic states of 121 Sn in the 122 Sn( d , 3 He) reaction at the incident deuteron energy of ~500 MeV. The measurement will provide accurate information on the strong interaction between the pion and the nucleus, which leads to quantitative determination of the magnitude of the quark condensate at the normal nuclear density.
