Summary:Latissimus Dorsi is a muscle of complex anatomy. Dissection of this muscle is sometimes needed in posterolateral and lateral thoracotomies, but its accurate realignment is often both difficult and time-consuming. We describe a simple technique whereby accurate suturing of the muscle is achieved by using 3 pairs of sutures as landmark guides. The results are most satisfactory.
