Summary:In the context of social and cultural changes, innovation and democracy, Vietnamese women writers have promoted the strengths of the short story genre, quickly approaching, discovering and expressing the new concepts of love - marriage - family in contemporary times. They bravely explore and enthusiastically encourage the awakening of a strong sense of individuality in modern women with their human spirit, deep and burning aspirations and a sense of affirming self-values. The introspective look together with new, humanistic perceptions in women short stories have made an important contribution to the appearance of short stories in particular and contemporary Vietnamese literature in general.
