Summary:A theologian interested in the knowledge from natural science. In search of the reasons. This paper is an attempt to indicate the reasons why a theologian should be interested in other sciences. The openness of the Church towards science is a relevant issue for Christian faith. Its justification today is in a climate of scientific thinking, in which scientific tools of recognising of the world, as well as the scientific picture of the world play an important role. This article will demonstrate the following: 1) the anthropological reason; (2) the ecological reason; (3) the kerygmatic reason.
