The peak forum of the new trends of academic libraries, environment, space, resource and services＂ and the 2017 editorial board meeting of Journal of Academic Libraries was held in Chongqing Uni- versity on April 1st-2na , 2017. The reports and discussions focus on the new trends of academic libraries such as new theory development of the academic libraries in the transition time from strategic positioning to comprehensive management, library space renovation and its driven on the academic libraries function up- grading, new trend of demand driven acquisition, academic libraries innovation services driven by big data, etc. A great number of innovative theories and practices had been shared to help academic libraries＇ trans- form in the ＂Bi-first-class＂ environment.
