Summary:The article is devoted to the study of the process of transformation of the activities of Russian children's public organizations in the face of the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 and the opening of new opportunities for non-profit organizations to work in this situation. The paper uses the results of a survey conducted from March 18 to 23, 2020 by experts of the Charitable Foundation for the Development of Philanthropy, which covered 232 organizations operating in the non-profit sector. The results of the study allowed us to conclude that the period of self-isolation contributed to the stimulation of children's public organizations to actively implement information technologies in their activities, find new opportunities for remote interaction in their work, and develop online projects.
