Summary:The aim of this research is to compile a bibliometric map of studies on program development in language education. The bibliometric mapping technique was employed from an international perspective in this study to examine trends in program development on language education research by characterizing the author, publication, keyword, journal, country, and citation aspects. The Foreign Language Annals have published the majority of the research on the subject. According to the findings, Justice L. M. is the most relevant author. The most relevant university is the University of North Carolina. Overall, the USA has the most publications, co-authored publications, single national publications, and cited articles. Keywords such as "education," "development," "language," and "learning" are regularly employed. The cluster analysis of the authors reveals that the articles are clustered into three groups. Each group has a label of "professional development." This study is expected to offer a significant contribution to those conducting research in the field of web-based language training.
