The MEI previously served as co-Secretariat of the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) until 2016; it is currently a partner institution of APMEN and provides limited financial and operational support. The MEI supported the establishment of the E8 Secretariat in 2015 and currently receives funding to provide technical and financial support to the E8 Initiative. The MEI is also a current member of the E8 Technical Committee and its Working Groups. Lastly, the MEI provides organizational support to APLMA. RG is a co-Principal Investigator on a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that funds the MEI to provide financial support to the Elimination 8 regional initiative in southern Africa, and to support the Surveillance and Response Working group of the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN). RS is seconded to the Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA) by MEI. MEI also received a gift from the Sumitomo Corporation to support the Vector Control Working Group for APMEN. |
