Summary:Evaluate the effectiveness of video assisted structured teaching program on knowledge regarding preprocedure anxiety level among primigravida mothers undergoing c- section in selected hospitals of Rajkot. The objectives of the study was (a) To assess the pre test level of knowledge regarding preprocedure anxiety level among primigravida mothers undergoing c-section (b) To assess the effectiveness of video assisted teaching program on knowledge regarding preprocedure anxiety level among primigravida mothers undergoing c-section (c) To determine the association between pre-test knowledge score with selected demographic variable (d) To determine the association between post-test knowledge score with selected demographic variable. The research approach selected for the study was quantitative research; the research design selected for the study was one group pre-test post-test design. The study was conducted at selected hospitals of Rajkot. Total 60 samples were selected from hospital setting based on non-probability purposive sampling. As a part of my intervention video assisted planned teaching program on anxiety before c- section was carried out among primigravida mothers undergoing c- section in the hospitals of Rajkot. The post-test score was measured with the same questionnaire after 7 days. The data collected were analysed by using inferential statistical method. Paired t-test was used to evaluate the effectiveness of video assisted structured teaching program on the knowledge regarding preprocedure anxiety level among primigravida mothers before undergoing c- section. It revealed the mean score of pre-test was 11.96and post-test was 17.78. The mean difference was 5.82. The obtained t-value was 6.71. Hence, it was highly significant to p<0.05 level. Hence, their finding of the study revealed that the video assisted structured teaching program was effective in improving knowledge regarding preprocedure anxiety level among primigravida mothers undergoing c- section.
