AZERBAIJANI EPICS OF OZANTURK AND THE CONTENT ANALYSIS OF THESE EPICS

There are many poets in the Anatolian field who continue the tradition of minstrel-style epic. Prof. Dr. Bayram Durbilmez is also one of the important names that continue this tradition. As with many subjects, he has written epics about Azerbaijan. Prof. Dr. Bayram Durbilmez, who knows the Turkish world closely, has published many scientific works on this subject, has an accumulation of written, oral and electronic culture and combines this accumulation with her artist personality, reflects this knowledge in her epics. The poet / bard, who is also known for his Turkish identity, uses the aliases Ozanturk and Durbilmez in his poems. When we look at the works of Ozanturk, it is seen that he dominates the tradition of the expression and form of folk poetry. In the study, a text-centered content analysis method is used when examining five epics he wrote about Azerbaijan. According to the method, first of all, the epics written by the poet about Azerbaijan are identified and samples are taken according to their content and the sorting of their poems is carried out. Analysis is made on the social events, wars, national issues, historical problems, cultural values and daily events contained in the content of epics. In these epics, the poet emphasizes values such as nation, homeland, independence and Turkish with his own feelings, thoughts and perceptions. By referring to the Karabakh war and the events that took place in this war, we are creating a phenomenon against the enemy’s image in order to strengthen the sense of national unity and togetherness. However, he refers to national values by using metaphors in the content of epics. In the study, the tendency of ideas, the messages and perceptions desired to be given in these epics written with his scientific and literary personality are revealed.
