Summary: | The study aimed to investigate the grammatical and lexical characteristics of legal translation from English to Arabic. It utilized a critical evaluation approach to identify the challenges, both grammatical and lexical, encountered in legal discourse. Furthermore, it conducted a comprehensive review of the key challenges faced by legal translators when translating legal texts between English and Arabic, as well as vice versa. These challenges significantly contribute to the complexity of understanding and translating legal language. Through this evaluative study, the underlying complexities and difficulties encountered by translators in the legal field can be understood. The introduction to this study relied on providing illustrative examples and linking them to existing literature by reviewing the opinions of researchers and scholars in the field. Finally, this study has a clear objective: to clarify the origins of the problems encountered by legal translators when translating legal texts and to propose solutions to address these challenges faced by translators in this field when dealing with legal texts and documents. |
