Summary:The current research rely on tracing the grammatical issues that Ibn Malik delved into, and it includes topics that are not originally part of his work, either out of necessity or to complement the usefulness of those issues. The research began with an introduction in which the researcher explained the parameters of their research and the three digressions that go beyond its scope. This was followed by a preamble that clarified the concept of digression. Then the researcher mentioned the grammatical issues that Ibn Malik delved into in fourteen topics. The research concluded with the most important findings, which included that all of Ibn Malik's digressions in the Alfiyah were either out of necessity or to complement the usefulness of a grammatical issue related to the chapter in which they were included. Additionally, some commentators may indicate that one of the digressions is an actual digression, but such cases are rare, and the researcher evaluated them in detail. Furthermore, the researcher found that the digressions that Ibn Malik dedicated entire sections to were clearly independent, while the digressions that were included within the grammatical chapters may be hidden from some learners, and the aim of the research was to uncover them.
