Summary: | The study aimed to identify the role of the national education curriculum in developing social values for the sixth to tenth grades in Jerash Governorate. To achieve the goal, the researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach by applying a questionnaire consisting of (25) paragraphs distributed on (4) axes, on a sample of (68) teachers who were chosen by the comprehensive survey method. The results showed: that the overall degree of appreciation for the role of the national education curriculum in promoting social values was medium, with an arithmetic mean (2.877), where the field (the role of the curriculum in developing the value of justice) came in the first place with a high arithmetic average of (3.620), while the field of (The value of volunteer work) ranked last with a weak arithmetic average of (2.265). As the role of the national education curriculum in enhancing the values of honesty and sincerity, and then the value of tolerance, at an average rate according to the opinion of the study sample, as there are no statistically significant differences between the average degrees of appreciation of the sample members for the role of the national education curriculum in developing social values that are attributed to the variables: gender or Educational level or place of teaching. |
