Summary:Abstract The optimum time for application of drench treatments for imported fire ant (IFA) control is important in developing a management program for this insect. This research was designed to determine if there was a best season for treatment of IFA colonies with toxicants that had been proven in previous research to be effective as drench treatments. Our research had indicated that Knox-Out and Sevin were effective toxicants when employed as drenchs.
