Pseudoxandrine, pseudoxandrinine, oxandrine et oxandrinine, premières α ou α′ céto-bisbenzyltétrahydroisoquinoléines à pont biphénylique

The alkaloids pseudoxandrine, pseudoxandrinine, oxandrine, and oxandrinine have been isolated from a Colombian Annonaceous, Pseudoxandra aff. lucida. These bases belong to the small group of bisbenzyisoquinolines with a C(11)—C(11′) biphenyl bond, and are the first α or α′ mono-keto-bisbenzyltetrahy...

Summary:The alkaloids pseudoxandrine, pseudoxandrinine, oxandrine, and oxandrinine have been isolated from a Colombian Annonaceous, Pseudoxandra aff. lucida. These bases belong to the small group of bisbenzyisoquinolines with a C(11)—C(11′) biphenyl bond, and are the first α or α′ mono-keto-bisbenzyltetrahydroisoquinolines. These structures were elucidated by ms, 1 H nmr (including double resonance and nOe experiments), and 13 C nmr.
