Slikarska dela Eduarda Linda iz zbirke nekdanjega Muzejskega društva v Mariboru

The article focuses on the origin, date, and content of the works produced by Eduard Lind (1827–1904), a Maribor-based painter of German descent, that the Museum Society Maribor (Museumsverein Marburg) acquired from the time of its founding in 1902 and until 1923. The main written source for the interpretation of the above-mentioned paintings, which are currently kept in the Maribor Regional Museum, is the inventory book of the Museum Society in Maribor (Grundbuch des Museum-Vereines in Marburg), which was used during the period under discussion. The information collected from the inventory book, the study of preserved paintings, written sources, and the survey of Maribor’s civil registers have made it possible for us to establish a link between the discussed Lind’s works and concrete people that is, male and female inhabitants of Maribor in the second half of the nineteenth century and their status in society. Prispevek se osredotoča na izvor, čas nastanka in vsebino slikarskih del mariborskega slikarja nemškega rodu Eduarda Linda (1827–1904), ki jih je pridobilo Muzejsko društvo Maribor (Museumsverein Marburg) od ustanovitve društva leta 1902 do leta 1923. Glavni pisni vir za interpretacijo omenjenih Lindovih slikarskih del, ki jih danes hrani Pokrajinski muzej Maribor, je inventarna knjiga Muzejskega društva v Mariboru (Grundbuch des Museum-Vereines in Marburg), ki je bila v uporabi v obravnavanem obdobju. S pomočjo informacij iz inventarne knjige, preučevanja ohranjenih slikarskih del, pisnih virov in pregleda mariborskih matičnih knjig je mogoče obravnavana Lindova slikarska dela povezati s konkretnimi ljudmi – prebivalkami in prebivalci Maribora v drugi polovici 19. stoletja – ter z njihovim položajem v družbi.
