Summary: | In the presence of a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), this work investigates the dynamic analysis and stability of a single machine connected to an infinite bus (SMIB) with a Power System Stabilizer (PSS). PSS is modelled using a fuzzy logic controller, and the results are compared to the system's responses when traditional PI and PID controllers are used. Different membership functions are investigated in the example of FLC, and all replies are compared. Finally, the fuzzy logic PSS with Gauss and triangle membership functions outperform the traditional PSS. The results are tested using Matlab-Simulink. |
