Summary: | Depicting the reception of Fichte in National Socialism is a difficult undertaking in that the methods of philosophical historiography, conceptual and theoretical history that are common in Germany are not sufficient here. What is required is to establish the connection between this reception and the concrete political-historical context of its creation. The research group led by Wolfgang F. Haug carried out pioneering work in the study of philosophy under National Socialism, which was the first to develop such contextualizations of philosophy under National Socialism based on a fascism and ideology theory approach. The works created within this framework by Haug himself, Laugstien, Leaman, Zapata and Orozco also examined social, disciplinary and institutional historical processes. |
