Summary:It is a well known and accepted fact that strategic factors play a critical role in explaining project success as well as the necessity of aligning projects with the organization's strategy. In this article, the authors develop the Strategy Framework Method as a tool to ensure such an alignment by embedding a causal logic within a systematic logic. It is shown how the system logic is carried out through a backward inductive process starting with the organization's strategic objectives down to its logistic means after having integrated the tactical and operational dimensions of the process.
