The antimicrobial peptide derived from insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 5, AMP-IBP5, regulates keratinocyte functions through Mas-related gene X receptors

Highlights • We report that AMP-IBP5 stimulates various keratinocyte functions. • AMP-IBP5 activates keratinocytes through MrgX1-X4 receptors. • AMP-IBP5-induced activation is also via MAPK and NF-κB activation. • AMP-IBP5 will be a useful therapeutic agent for wound healing.
