Summary: | Concepts of an acoustic beam splitter are revisited to develop a water-gap delay line that can be used with a phased-array probe. Previous work incorporated the concept of acoustic beam splitting for a water-column delay line with a mono-element probe and an AqualeneTM water barrier. This paper describes a variation of the principles involved for a linear phased-array probe and a description of a prototype delay line using these principles. |
