The paper summarizes the theory and features of ZigBee and GPRS technologies, as well as their latest development and application status at home and abroad, analyzes the situation of complementary advantages after combining the two technologies, and presents the design of an intelligent alarm system for railway natural disasters based on two wireless communication modes of ZigBee and GPRS technologies.
