Bibliography: | world-class universities; modern physics experiment; experimental teaching; course arrangement As an important part of college physics experiment, modern physics experiment (MPE) course is very significant for the training of top-notch innovative talents. By investigating the websites of MPE of 15 world-class universities, the characteristics of their course arrangement about MPE were introduced from the aspects of amounts, duration time, choosing, goals, handouts and requirements of experiments, the system of professorg taking responsibility for teaching, network resources and so on. At the same time, the gap on MPE teaching between domestic universities and the first-class foreign universities was summarized. It is hoped that the teaching level of domestic MPE will be improved by learning the experience of foreign universities, combined with the real situation of domestic universities.
