Shantou University has begun to implement the Integrative Thinking Education Program since 2011, and gradually established a framework of integrative thinking for the Shantou University mode. Appropriate courses were chosen from each college as the pilot project to develop the core courses based on the integrative thinking' s concepts. To explore the significance of integrative thinkingg concepts on experimental teaching, methods of integrative thinking were applied to the teaching process of molecular biology experiment from the aspects of curriculum design and teaching mode.
