Under the premise of the rapid development of science and technology and the cultivation of innovative talents,the research teaching has become a hot topic in the discussion and practice of higher education. This teaching model initiates students' subjective participation and autonomous learning. In view of problems of traditional experiments,such as the old content,mechanical teaching mode,bad experimental effect,this paper introduces an exploration and practice of research oriented teaching in the experiment of centrifugal pump cavitation in the course of fluid machinery,including the development of a high level of experimental devices,independent choice of design experiments,the implementation of teacher-student interaction and broaden the learning channels.
