Summary: | Background: Bevacizumab vials that are commercially available are fractionated into smaller quantities into the form of pre-filled syringes in a sterile and aseptic laboratory setting. Purpose: To share the long term experience of aliquoting of bevacizumab injections in a tertiary eye care center in India. Synopsis: Compounding of bevacizumab was found to be a cost-effective and sustainable practice that has benefited more patients with an affordable cost, while maintaining high levels of quality. Highlights: Compounding of bevacizumab, when done with aseptic precautions can be a safe and cost-effective practice, the benefits of which can be passed on to needful patients.
