Summary:The possibility of use of a flux-gate sensor based on iron garnet film for magnetocardiographic diagnosis of the functional state of the heart was studied. The sensor was shown to provide a sufficiently good quality of magneto-cardiogram detection in experimental animals, allowing thereby the functional state of the myocardium to be assessed. It was concluded that the developed sensor held considerable promise for human magnetocardiography.
