In order to evaluate population structure of cotton resources, 81 samples of cultivated cotton were scaned using the genotyping data of 65 simple-sequence repeat ( SSR ) markers to analyze population structure of these resources. And the related analysis between SSR loci and 8 fiber quality traits was carried out. The results showed that the popuration was divided into 2 subgroups. The related analysis showed that detecting with average value in 2 years 18 SSR loci were associated with the quality traits of cotton fiber. Among them 5 loci were associated with over 2 traits (including 2 traits). And in these 18 loci, Satt8, Sattl2, Satt35, Sattl05 and Sattl09, these 5 loci were simultaneously associated with phenotypic value in two years. The population structure of this natural population consists of 81 samples was clear. And 18 SSR loci associated with the target traits were obtained, among w
