Potato; Lotus seed; Amylose; Determination; Method
A method for the quantitative determination of amylose content in lotus seeds was established by using lotus-seed amylose to make a standard curve. In other words, the absorbance of the compound of lotus-seed amylose and iodine was tested with spectrophotometer at 650 nm, and then the amylose content in lotus seed samples was acquired by the above standard curve. In com- parison with the lotus-seed amylose content obtained by GB/T 15683--2008, in which potato amylose was used to make a standard curve, the result obtained by this method was obviously lower, but was more accurate.
