Cuticular constituents of tobacco leaves have the important effect on growth and quality of tobacco. Research progress in analysis of cuticular constituents including diterpenoids, sucrose esters, waxes, volatl]es and other microconstituenis is reviewed to study composition and characteristics of cuticular constituents in tobacco. The extraction methods are analyzed at the same time.
