Abstract_FL [Objective] In the present paper,paddy soil and tideland soil of Hangzhou Bay were taken as target soil to gain a understand of how the utilized years affected the ammonia oxidation bacteria community structure,in which the former has been used to plant rice for about 100,300,700,1000,2000 years and the latter has never been used to plant crops (0 year).[Method] PCR-DGGE technology was adopted to analyze the ammonia oxidation bacteria community structure of 6 soil samples with different utilized years.[Result] The AOB and DGGE strips showed a significant different pattern in electrophoretic images attained from PCR-DGGE analyzing.[Conclusion] Differences in utilized years can greatly affect the ammonia oxidation bacteria community structure in paddy soil.
