As an important subject of modern agricultural management, family farm will play a more and more important role in the Chinese agricultural and rural development. The connotation, characteristics, significance, developmental conditions, current status and development countermeasures of China family farm were summarized in this paper. Moreover, countermeasures were recommended, including steady and healthy development of family farm according to time and local condition, focusing on the connotative development for family farm, constant improvement of relevant supportive policy and socialized service system, continuous increase in management efficiency of management and raise its market subject position, etc., in order to construct the new type of agricultural management system.
