The overall vegetable production situation continued to improve in Guangdong province in 2014, vegetable planting area and total yield were historical high, vegetable production gradually gathered to dominant regions, but there were still some problems, including reduction of vegetable growing profit, low degree of industrialization, poor product quality safety, underdeveloped infrastructure, weak technological innovation and transformation, etc. From the aspects of production, regional distribution, import and export, market supply and price dynamics of vegetable, this article analyzed the development situation of vegetable industry in 2014 in Guangdong province, and pat forward countermeasures and suggestions of vegetable industry development, which might have great significance on accurately grasping the current situation and guiding the healthy development of vegetable industry in Guangdong province.
