Bibliography: | Objective】The number and developmental stages of overwintering Mythimna separate(Walker) in paddy fields of Guangxi was investigated, in order to provide fundamental data for integrated preventing controlling technique.【Method】The number and developmental stages of M. separate(Walker) were recorded in paddy fields on survey sites of Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, Beihai, Qinzhou, Yulin, Baise, Hezhou and Hechi in winter of 2014 and 2015, and the population density was calculated based on field data. 【Result】The mature larvae and pupae of M. separate were found in paddy fields in Guangxi in the winter, and which were mostly hiding in the rice straw or pile. Furthermore, the normal population density was 0.30-1.10 individuals per square meter. In 2014 and 2015, the highest population densities occurred in Quanzhou county, Guilin city, which were 1.98 and 5.30 individuals per square meter, respectively.Furthermore, the population density in eastern region was the higher than that in west region, and the population de |
