In order to study the feasibility of using cassava stalk chip to cultivate straw mushroom and its proper adding proportion, different ratio of cassava stalk scraps, cotton seed hull, and rice straw was applied to cultivate strains Vzhan1 and Vxinfeng of Volvariella volvacea, and the mycelial growth rate, biological conversion rate and economic benefit were investigated. The results showed that formula B was the best formula to cultivate Vzhan1 and Vxinfeng mushroom, the input/output ratios were the highest and reached 1:2.37 and 1:2.26, respectively; Formula A ranked the second, the input/output ratios were 1:2.32 and 1:2.17. It indicated that using cassava stalk chip to cultivate straw mushroom was feasible.
