Southern Yellow Sea,continental shelf, scientific drilling,broken formation,MBM saline rinse, CSDP - 2 well
This paper presents the technologies used at the well CSDP -2 of the scientific drilling on the continental shelf in the southern Yellow Sea. They include the construction of a core drilling platform, the technique of the advanced spring seat plus a spring bar, inside diameter inlaid with alloy in a high -density sand bit, bottom spray bit, and the three -tube drilling tool and MBM saline rinse. Many difficulties during the implementation of these technologies have been solved, yielding some important results. The drilling hole is 2843.18 m deep (drill floor to the bottom of the sea 33.30 m). The actual footage is 2809.88 m. The test logs and other important work have been accomplished, which is a significant step in marine geological drilling.
