Drought resistance of main cultivated mulberry varieties in production and germplasm resources of some wild mulberry in Yunnan was investigated in this study.The results showed that the cultivated varieties(Yunfeng1,Yunfeng2,Fengtian2,Fengtian5 and Qiangsang1) was the best varieties combination of drought resistance,which was suitable to popularize in Yunnan,and that the most drought-resistance varieties were M.bombycis Koidz.,M.mongolica var.diabolica Koidz.and M.mongolica Koidz,which was the best breeding material of drought resistance and dominant no-timber tree species in the Karst of bare mountain in Yunnan.
