In the first half of 2013, the vegetable industry of Guangdong was in a steady development situation. The sown area, harvested area and the yield increased 2.0%, 1.9% and 4.3% compared with the same period in 2012, respectively. The price showed an increasing trend. Vegetable insurance progressed steadily and had a positive exploration. At the same time, the quality and safety of vegetable, the risk resistance capacity of vegetable industry would still be the important industry problems for the future. In order to promote the healthy development of vegetable industry, the related countermeasures and suggestions were put forward.
