Efficient and persistent gene transfer of AAV-CFTR in maxillary sinus
Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a naturally replication-deficient DNA parvovirus that has been tested as a possible vehicle for gene therapy for cystic fibrosis. Preliminary tests using the virus in the maxillary sinuses demonstrate encouraging results.
