Gender, domestic violence and sickness in Mexico
A study finds that over half the people seeking treatment from Spiritualist healers in Mexico are women and 76.2% of patients seen at outpatient clinics are also women. Reasons for the morbidity among these women are discussed, including illness, domestic violence, and sex status.
